Further Information on Screening and Testing 

Health checks can fall into two different categories: screening and testing. NHS national screening programmes are recommended to assess whether you are at a raised risk of developing a condition and will help to catch and treat serious conditions sooner. Testing happens at your GP’s recommendation.
